文京区湯...<b>- 宝林山 Horinzan 大悲心院 Daihishin-In 霊雲寺 Reiun-Ji<br />文京区湯島2-21-6 / 2 Chome-21-6 Yushima, Bunkyō ward / 湯島霊雲寺 Yushima Reiun-Ji </b><br /><br />This temple was founded in 1691 by 覚彦浄厳律師 Kakugen Jogon (1639 - 1702), who was a protegee of the influential Shogunate advisor, 柳沢吉保 Yanagizawa Yoshiyasu.<br />Reiun-Ji was built on request of the 5th Shogun, 徳川綱吉 Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, as 永代祈願所 a temple to pray for the Tokugawa shogunate.
